It sad that so much time is spent of demeaning black people with weight issues, and more specifically black women.
The larger black woman has always been a source of jokes in America, and it's a shame that we as black people are taking that horrible joke and running with it, and to detriment of ourselves. Very sad.
I don't think the issue is trying to make people feel bad about their size. I think the issue is now that people are courting via the internet we have to rely on people to represent themselves honestly. So there is disagreement on these different euphemism. I gets confusing and frustrating if you're into online dating and people are using the same words to mean different things. You find white people having the same arguments a white girl will call herself 'voluptuous' and people will feel she's misrepresenting herself.
i think that is because we have accepted demeaning others and ourselves (especially in the department of outer appearance) as the norm.
I'm thanking you in advance. I'm sure you know why. ;)
Every one of those tweets was posted within a half hour. That means that every half hour 15+ tweets are sent regarding fat vs. thick. smh!
